Pick S427, MPM 516s, Series A, 1901, El Banco De Tabasco, San Juan Bautista, PCGS 58PPQ Choice About New. Archival example with Printer’s partial Violet Date Stamp “1900” in the UL top sheet margin corner. Okay, we believe this note should absolutely be at minimum a 63 or 64. We have seen many 65’s not as nice. Other than some very minor natural paper bends in the sheet margin, this antique banknote looks super. Incredibly well-centered, fresh, crisp, and clean, with sharp corners. Very scarce! Pick (12th) lists no Specimens or Proofs, and prices an issued note in XF at $5,400. MPM (2010) shows a low Specimen price of only $1,500. (PMG population report shows NONE of this note have been graded.)
